The Role:
We are actively recruiting for a Sustainability Manager for one of the leading companies in the renewable energy sector based in Greater Manchester, North Manchester. This crucial role encompasses developing and implementing sustainability strategies and practices. It's a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of sustainable transformation whilst working alongside industry pioneers.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within the renewable energy or related sector.
In-depth knowledge of sustainable practices, environmental impact assessments, and compliance regulations.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and maintain high levels of integrity.
Exceptional project management skills and ability to drive change.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
Based in or willing to relocate to Durham, Tyne and Wear Green Belt
Responsibilities:
Develop, coordinate, and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives aligned with the company's objectives.
Conduct environmental impact assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulations.
Lead and manage sustainability projects from inception to completion.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sustainability trends, legislations, and best practices.
Actively collaborate with stakeholders to promote and drive sustainability across the organisation.
